How to Wash a Magnetic Golf Towel Without Damaging It

A high-quality magnetic golf towel is an investment in your game, but improper washing can lead to lost absorbency or, worse, a damaged magnet. Whether you use a Greenivy Premium square or an Elite caddie towel, following these care instructions will keep your gear in top condition for years.

Step 1: Shake Off the Heavy Dirt

Before putting your towel in the machine, take it outside and give it a good shake. Use a soft brush (or the built-in brush on your Elite Caddie Towel) to remove large clumps of mud or dried grass from the waffle pockets.

Step 2: Machine Wash with Care

Our towels are made from premium waffle microfiber, which is machine-washable. However, keep these rules in mind:

• Use Cold Water: Hot water can weaken the adhesive holding the silicone magnet patch and may affect the microfiber's absorbency.
• Gentle Cycle Only: Avoid heavy-duty cycles that might cause the magnet to strike the drum repeatedly.
• No Fabric Softeners: Softeners clog the microfiber's "pores," making it less effective at trapping dirt and water.

Step 3: Protection During the Wash

To prevent the magnet from sticking to the washing machine drum or other items, we recommend placing the towel in a mesh laundry bag. This also protects the aluminum carabiner and reinforced webbing from snagging.

Step 4: Air Dry is Best

Microfiber dries incredibly fast. The safest method is to hang it up and let it air dry. If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting. Excessive heat is the number one cause of magnet degradation and microfiber melting.
